If your project involves new construction or you are making changes to your existing electric service, we are here to help. By signing up for electric service, you also become a cooperative member.
Getting Started:
We are excited to meet with you regarding your current projects. Prior to scheduling an appointment with us, please have the following completed:
- Review our Service Rule Booklet.
- Determine the building site and layout.
- Septic system site and/or well site determined or identified.
- Fill out the Service Data Form.
- Contact a Wisconsin-Licensed Master Electrician.
- Complete a Membership Application and review the Membership Terms and Conditions (if you're not an existing member).
Schedule an Appointment:
Contact our line department at 800-236-2141, option 2, to schedule an on-site meeting with your electrician and us. Please give a minimum of three (3) weeks' notice. When you call, please have a description of your project and the property's address or parcel number. At this appointment, we'll discuss the following:
- Assess your needs.
- Offer suggestions on your best course of action.
- Map out the location of the service and equipment.
- Determine the cost to put in your new service or upgrade your existing service.
There is a $200 charge for this meeting that will be credited to the total cost of your new service within one year.
Complete Paperwork:
After meeting with us, we will send you the paperwork that must be completed before your service can be scheduled for installation. This paperwork will include:
- Electric Service Agreement (prepared and sent after meeting)
- Payment of all fees as outlined on the Electric Service Agreement
- New Service Checklist
- Easement (if required)
- Membership Application (if you're a new member)
- Electrical Inspection or Wiring Affidavit
- Please work with your Wisconsin-Licensed Master Electrician to determine if a state or township inspection is needed before scheduling this project with Scenic Rivers Energy Cooperative.
If these items are incomplete, delays will result in having the electric service installed.
